Also, while you are in the above mentioned Device Manager category, you could try and search for driver updates specifically for USB (Universal Serial Bus controllers). I tried resetting windows and reinstalling windows but nothing helped.
Many thanks, Z. Please try the request again. Sometimes just blocks the text too and I accidentally overtypeall text if I don't notice.Happens in most programs reinstalled on pc, not just one. All you need to do now, is plug the Keyboard and mouse back in to the original ports.
Could not get mouse life so in end had kept restarting to run the battery down and when restart seemed to work... And the only way to switch the computer off now is to unplug from the mains. Either that or having a stuck modifier key.
