Ah well, I thought, maybe I'll get lucky...powered it up and bam, sound was back to normal. i tried 2 laptops acer aspire a one, Windows XP & windows 7 installed and iwas correct volume I higher than windows 7.. Without making any changes to the windows setup, between testing the logitechs and the tdk, I plugged the TDKs in and the sound was/is normal, volume-wise at least. Without seeing them, am I right in thinking that you take a lead from the audio out at the back of your computer to the speakers, and their internal amplifier drives I also use speakers which aren't very loud either, so it can't bee my headphones or anything it must be a problem with the PC.
