Laptop is only 1 year old and has tons of capacity but got screwed up by an attempted windows 10 upgrade ! My Dell Latitude would die on me, next was blue screens, error messages, black back-lit screen. But: the Windows 10 upgrade killed my laptop.
It sounds like you are new to recovery so ask more questions if need be. It is stable and tons of free software. During the preview, most of the efforts by testers are focused on using Windows 10. Help!

It might be OK to try again but I cannot deal with another full crash like the last one. The only thing I have changed at all so far is downloading and installing my antivirus [Norton 360]. After several attempts I was finally able to boot to the recovery screen, where every option resulted in failure. My goal is to help you resist clicking the "Upgrade" button for a month or two.
